What's New

A handful of improvements went out today, mostly things that were quietly wrong or just not polished enough.

What changed

• Number inputs no longer get stuck on zero. Several fields were showing a 0 that you could not clear without using the arrow keys. Fixed.
• Delete button visible on mobile. The X button to remove overhead items and labor roles was hidden on mobile. It is always visible now.
• Homepage redesigned. Removed the template-looking layout. Cleaner, more direct, and easier to understand at a glance.
• Overhead rounding explained. The overhead per hour is rounded up to the nearest cent by design. There is now a note in the math breakdown on both job calculator pages explaining why.

Under the hood

• Full mathematical audit completed. Every formula in the calculator was verified against the business logic spec. No errors found.

You can now save your install job calculations as quotes and keep track of your customer database — all inside HVAC Profit Calculator.

What's New

• Customer Database — Store your customers with name, company, phone, email, address, and notes. Access it anytime from the Customers link in the nav.
• Installation Quotes — Save any install job calculation as a quote linked to a customer. Hit the green Save as Quote button on the Install Calculator results — you can select an existing customer or create a new one on the spot.
• Multiple Options Per Quote — Once a quote is saved, you can add multiple options (Option A, Option B, etc.) with different hours, crew setups, equipment costs, and materials. Each option shows a full cost breakdown and selling price side by side so you can present choices to your customer.
• Live Price Preview — The option form recalculates your selling price in real time as you adjust inputs, using your current profit target and overhead rates.

How to Get Started

1. Head to the Install Calculator and price out a job as normal.
2. Click Save as Quote in the results panel.
3. Enter a quote title and select or create a customer.
4. You'll land on the quote page where you can add more options anytime.

Find all your quotes under the Quotes link and all your customers under Customers in the navigation bar.
